Newsletter May 2011

I can hardly believe that we are already into the month of May! Beginning this month, JAZZEDGE CORP will be producing a monthly newsletter. In addition to hearing from me and Willie about the lessons and other stuff going on in the office, you will also get to hear from additional Staff members (Grace or Joel) as well as other writers and contributors. In fact, I am really excited to introduce Larson Sutton whose article, “Club Without A Clubhouse” offers a heartfelt retrospective on evolving nature of music appreciation and consumption. You will hopefully be hearing more from Larson in subsequent newsletters. Of course, Willie also wrote an in-depth article on drop 2 chords.

As always, we are constantly finding new and improved ways to serve you. The internet is an amazing resource for learning! But, in building our business, we have discovered that the internet is always evolving and changing. I know that I speak for many of you when I say that this can be a source of frustration. Because we wish to stay in business, it is our responsibility to keep up with the changes in the industry and adapt our program to compliment the most recent advances in technology. We understand that, for this reason, change is a good thing in the long run but can be challenging initially.

We get a lot of feedback from people when we make changes to the site. Most of it is very useful and has allowed us to adapt the site to suit you better. Please understand that in this brave new internet world, change is a regular part of our lives. We listen to your feedback and consider it very carefully but any changes that we make to the site and to our program are born out of necessity and not out of our arbitrary need to change things. It is certainly our priority to provide the best service that we can.

For example, we recently made some changes to our download points in the membership area. I do apologize for any frustrations that these changes caused you but I am confident that the most recent change to the download points is the most generous and fair system that we’ve ever offered. There is a lot of information now on the user’s forum and the knowledge base if you still need clarification about how to use your download points. Please take advantage of these resources. And thanks, always, for all your patience and feedback!

For those of you who prefer DVD’s, Willie and I have decided to continue to offer FREE shipping for first class domestic and international orders over $100. We will still be offering expedited shipping if you would rather pay for faster service. As usual, both options will be available in the shopping cart when you place your order. However, I feel it only fair to inform you that Willie and I have had discussions recently about raising our DVD prices in September 2011. We all understand (all too well) that prices go up, they don’t go down, and this is also true in the cost of doing business. We will notify you well in advance before the new DVD rates become official so feel free to take advantage of the current rates all summer long.

It may also help you to know that, occasionally, we offer “24-hours only” special discount coupons on Twitter or Facebook! So make sure that you follow us on Twitter or “like” us on Facebook so that you don’t miss out on these!

Thank you for choosing PianoWithWillie.com (a division of JAZZEDGE CORP)! Enjoy our new newsletter, enjoy the lessons and have a great month of May!

Best wishes,

Valerie Myette
